His sire is FC-AFC DB's Cracker of Club Mead "Ritz," and dame is Maple Creek's "Sunny" Delight, QAA (20 derby points). Lucky is a very tractable dog, and he has excellent marking abilities, earning him a win in the Fall 2009 Amateur at the Memphis Amateur Retriever Club Field Trial and a 3rd in 2009 Super Retriever Series (SRS, Amateur) in Somerville, TN. He received several placements all age stakes in 2009. Lucky also made the 2006 Derby list before 2 years of age. He is OFA "Good" and is calm and well mannered in the home.

Ace is very level-headed and strives to please. His attitude towards work is just as good as it is towards play. To accompany his marking abilities, Ace possesses outstanding blind attitude and abilities. His consistency in multiple venues speaks for itself, bringing home ribbons in 17 of 29 AKC field trials, going 7-for-7 in HRC Finished to obtain his HRCH title, and going 2-for-2 in AKC Senior hunt tests at only 14 months of age. Ace received his first Derby placement at 16 months, and his first Qualifying placement at 20 months. He received his QAA designation at 33 months of age. Along the way, he compiled 4 Qualifying 4th’s, 3 Qualifying 3rd’s, a Qualifying 2nd, and multiple Derby and Qualifying Reserve JAMs and JAMs. Ace is partially owner/amateur trained, along with the assistance of Chris Christopher, owner of Wolf River Retrievers. In addition to competition experience, Ace has a wealth of experience in the blind and field, hunting the majority of each waterfowl season and retrieving nearly 1,000 ducks, geese, doves and pheasants for his owner, Matt Geater and his hunting partners. Ace is very well mannered in the home, kennel, boat, field or blind.
